Pinacotheque Paris

Located on the Place de la Madeleine, the Pinacotheque is the first private museum in Paris.

Opened in June 2007 by the art historian Marc Restellini, the Pinacotheque offers a space of about 2,000 square meters of exhibitions spread over 3 levels. Exposing from archaeological works to more contemporary works, his first mission is to make art reachable to all.

The Pinacotheque is seeking to become the first Parisian interdisciplinary museum and disrupts the traditional pattern of exhibitions by offering a thematic organization. The tour is visited in a completely different way than the traditional chronological order.

Since January 2011, more than 3000 square meters have been occupied by the Pinacotheque 2. Also called "Collections", this new space brings together a permanent collection of hundreds of works recounting nearly 1,000 years of art history.
