The Musical Instrument Museum in Brussels has been created in 1877. It is one of the greatest in the world.

 

The Musical Instrument Museum has got approximately 8,000 instruments, 1200 of which are exhibited on its 4 floors. The museum offers varied collections

 

In the museum, you will learn how musical instruments have evolved around the world through time and how social classes had an impact on the way they were made. 

The collection consists of varied instruments: stringed instruments, keyboards, traditional instruments and mechanical and electronic collections

The museum also has a 200-seat concert hall on the eighth floor. 

Most of the concerts are recorded, which is profitable to the artists and to the museum educational service.. 

The room is also used as a recording studio and every year more than 100 musical events are organized there.
