Pastré Park Marseille
The Pastré Park, also known as the "Pastré Campaign", is the starting point for many walks and hikes in the creeks of Marseille!
This 120-hectare green space is considered as a haven of peace by the people of Marseille. It has been named after the Pastré family who created the domain between 1836 and 1853.
The park is located between the "Pointe Rouge" and the "Grotte Rolland" reaching the hills of Marseilleveyre. It is the perfect place to begin a long hike in the Calanques of Marseille!
It used to consist of several vegetable gardens. Thanks to the efforts made by the owners to get water from the Canal of Marseille, the Pastré Park became a kind of English garden. You will enjoy its small artificial lakes and statues during your walk in the Park.
Even if the Pastré Campaign space is organized and planned, you will appreciate its rich and pleasant natural vegetation. In the heart of the park, you will also find rides for children, a tree climbing site, an equestrian centre and also a fitness trail.
Surrounded by hiking trails, two small lakes and playgrounds, there are three castles: the Pastré Castle, the Estrangin Castle and the Sanderval Castle. They have been built between 1845 and 1865 and perfectly complement this public park.
Keep enjoying this lush greenery in a pleasant and well located place. We would be happy to welcome you in our charming hotel in Marseille Corniche. You will be seduced by its 3000 sq.-meter garden and its swimming pool.
