The Art Museum

The Art Museum was inaugurated in 1888 in a monument newly built in the Italian Renaissance style by Stanislas Gaudensi Allar, an architect from Toulon.

The various sculptures decorating the building evoke life in Toulon and its region at that time. The museum features in a rotating thematic art works from the XVe to the XXe century specialised in the Provencal Art, New Realism and photography. Temporary contemporary exhibitions enrich this art gallery. The museum, library, bookshop and garden are open to the public.
