The Arenas

With its 101m width and 21 m height on two levels of arches, the Arenas of Nîmes can impress you even if they were built in the first century! During Roman times 20,000 people came to watch the gladiators’ fights in the arenas that have stood the test of time.

Our arenas host concerts, performances, conferences and open air bullfights, which help with their conservation.
Free entry for children under 6 years old. Discount for children between 7 and 17 years old. Additional discount for families with more than one child. The audio guide is free.
