The Picasso Museum is located in one of the most beautiful ‘hôtels particuliers’ of the Marais district, the Hôtel Salé, which was built in the 17th century. The Picasso Museum is undergoing extension and renovation work until March 2012. When it re-opens it will exhibit 500 Picasso masterpieces.

Whilst the work is being carried out the museum is organising several large international exhibitions:
