A favourite park with the people of Marseille with vast open spaces for relaxing and only two steps away from the beach!
It is made up of a castle surrounded by fountains along with a lake with a pump room, waterfalls, a rose garden, old style gardens and different styles which folllow on the one from the other, play areas for children and a pay for botanical garden which offers, according to the seasons, climbing, medicinal, succulent, South African, Chinese, Mediterranean, Japanese and palmetum plants.
The 18th century Borély Castle with its French style gardens decorated with rectangular ponds is the most vast and the most fortified of the area as wished for by Louis Borély, its owner.
