Paris Plage
In 2011, Paris Plage will be open between 21 July and 21 August. A wide range of family events will be organised and many of the activities will be free.
At La Villette, on the right bank of the Seine, 3.5 km of waterside are taken over by deckchairs, palm trees, leisure areas, cooling off areas, children's areas (with water games, rides, art lessons, science classes, table football, etc.), areas for cultural events (concerts, temporary library, etc) and spaces for sporting activities such as sandy areas for beach volleyball, petanque, canoe, pedal boat and rowing lessons, all supervised by qualified instructors.
