Opéra Garnier
The lavish Second Empire style Palais Garnier is home to the Paris National Opera and was opened in 1875. The Palais Garnier holds ballets, operatic performances and symphony concerts. It is extremely pleasant to take a stroll here during the interval.
You can visit the Palais and explore the grand staircase, the foyers, the library-museum which holds a record of the Opera’s history since its creation, a permanent exhibition gallery and the auditorium (when available).
