The 19th century de Corbières Fort overhanging the l’Estaque and Marseille harbour welcomes you into a 800 m2 19th century building to discover a magnificent collection.
You can follow the artist’s evolution through the history of his art and retrace the influence he evokes amongst various other artists such as Vincent Van Gogh. His way of painting has made him somewhat of a forerunner, opening the door to impressionism. MONTICELLI said of his work : « I paint 50 years ahead of my time ».
