To commemorate WW1 centenary (1914-1918), many events will occur during the year.

 

Striking event of the twentieth century, WW1 was the first war of this magnitude with more than 60 million soldiers involved in the world and 8 million in France. French troops lost approximately 1.4 million soldiers making it a painful episode in the history of France.

On the occasion of this anniversary, the City of Paris offers numerous exhibitions, conferences, ceremonies and projections, with a goal of collective memory.

We present a non-exhaustive selection of events organized throughout 2014.

In the center of Jean Jaures station, a cultural event is organized on the day of his murder.
