Reopening of Picasso Museum Paris
To the delight of art lovers, the Picasso Museum in Paris will reopen its doors on October 25, 2014. This museum is located in the Hôtel Salé, one of the most beautiful baroque mansions of the Marais district in the 3rd arrondissement. This building is a listed historical monument since 1968.
After 20 months of construction and renovation, it’s in the strictest conservation works that the museum reopens. The public will discover nearly 5,000 unique and original works of this great man. This is the only collection in the world with as many archives of Picasso.
Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) is considered as the founder of the Cubist movement. These famous paintings like Guernica and Les Demoiselles d'Avignon are key works of his collection.
October 25 is his birthday; this opening becomes even more symbolic. 133 years later, the life of Pablo Picasso remains intact.
