Oceans and Mankind
From 19/02/2014 to 25/09/2014
In 2010 in Brest, Oceanopolis presented an exhibition dedicated to marine biodiversity. It was a great success and had many positive feedbacks. Following this, the aquarium decided with Columbia River agency to provide a new angle to this exhibition and renamed it Oceans and Mankind (Des Océans et des Hommes).
Hosted at the Natural History Museum in Marseille from February 19 to September 25, 2014, it will highlight the complex relationship between ocean and men. Visitors will discover the oceans wealth through ecosystems around the world, their vital role for Earth but also the oceans history and the great discoveries that have been made.
Finally, it will enable visitors to learn more about the ecosystem close to our coasts, in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea and actions put in place for protecting its surrounding species.
