Matisse, Miro, Calder…: Futurs

Following the events of Marseille-Provence, European Capital of Culture in 2013, the city of Marseille and the Réunion of National Museum - Grand Palais , are organizing at the Vieille Charité, the summer exhibition 2015: Futures, from the city to the stars.
This exhibition traces the influences of art, architecture, science, astronomy and science fiction. More than 100 works from around the world and from the most prestigious cultural institutions will be presented such as Henri Matisse, Joan Miro, Alexander Calder, Max Ernest or Erro.
The course will be deployed around 3 themes: Metropolis, War of the Worlds and Space Odyssey which will organize paintings, sculptures and photographs. A wonderful setup will be made in the chapel of Pierre Puget.
This exhibition is a great travel into the memory of the future and the extraordinary adventure of modern art and its projects.
