The Velazquez’s exhibition will be held at the National Galleries of the Grand Palais  from March 25, 2015. This is the first French representation of this Spanish genius of painting.

 

Diego Velazquez was born in Seville in 1599 and died in Madrid in 1660. Baroque painter, considered as one of the representative of the masters of universal painting, Velazquez is a major figure in the history of art.

This exhibition explores the subjects of variations in the first compositions of Diego Velazquez and his ability to execute landscapes, portraits and history paintings.

The exhibition highlights many paintings of this extraordinary artist.

 

This eponymous exhibition will take place from March 25 to July 13, 2015.
