Chagall Between War and Peace - Paris
From 21/02/2013 to 21/07/2013
Through this exhibition, we can see that the artist's works are related to the history of Europe in the previous century. If Marc Chagall experienced two world wars, he also knew what happiness is. Paintings, prints and drawings on display come from public and private collections. The 80 exposed works reflect personal experiences of the artist and it is interesting to note that the course is chronological: the visitor is led to discover the feeling of Chagall about the war, while ending on a note of hope and optimism.
