Anish Kapoor at Versailles

Anish Kapoor at Versailles

From 09/06/2015 to 01/11/2015

After the subhuman work the “Leviathan”at the Grand Palais, Anish Kapoor, anglo-indian artist, comes back to Paris, in the garden of the Castle of Versailles.

He will settle in six places in the garden as he didn’t want Versailles as setting. In the middle axis, four works will be exposed. A big mirror will be set down on terraces. The most worrying work will be a long rusty tunnel of steel called “Dirty Corner”. This piece imagines a woman from another civilization. Around this work, stones are laid with blood-red color.

Anish Kapoor has also designed a work like an ovni in the center of the thicket. It represents a big black cube with big orifices. People can visit the cube which gives illusion of being inside a big body.

Anish Kapoor (lien) is an artist with different ways. Sometimes poet, sometimes architect, he gives a kind of imaginary universe for everyone.

He steers visitors in hidden history.  His works will be present until November 1st, 2015.
