14-18 it’s our history Brussels
From 26/02/2014 to 26/04/2015
On the occasion of the centenary of the First World War, the Royal Museum of Army and Military History has a major exhibition called "14-18 it’s our history!".
It will trace the history of this world conflict and an important part of the itinerary will be devoted to the war and life in the occupied Belgium. Four main parts will be developed during the exhibition: pre-war years, movement war, static warfare and occupation, and finally, the impact on future history. We can also discover a comparison between Albert I, King of the Belgians and Wilhelm II, Emperor of Germany, in search of unexpected similarities.
The purpose of this exhibition is to make public sensitive to this part of the history by using their emotions and show him that this conflict has been decisive in the progress of the twentieth century.
To explore this historic exhibition, our 4 star hotel in Brussels offers you to stay close to the Jubilee Park and the Royal Museum of Army and Military History.
